Philly Cheesesteak Skillet Recipe


  • 1 yellow or green bell pepper
  • 1/2 small onion
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 pound sirloin steak
  • Provolone Cheese Slices
  • Olive Oil

For Steak: Salt, Pepper, All-Purpose Seasoning, Garlic Powder, Low Sodium Soy Sauce (optional)

1. Cut sirloin steak into thinly sliced strips
2. Season meat with salt, pepper, all-purpose seasoning, garlic powder, and a little soy sauce until all the meat is evenly coated. Let sit.
3. Cut onion and bell pepper into strips
4. In a large skillet over medium heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil Add onions and bell peppers, salt and pepper to taste and stir occasionally until tender and slightly browned. (3-5 mins) add mushrooms and continue to sauté (1-2 mins)
5. Remove veggies from pan
6. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to pan then add meat stirring occasionally until the meat is browned and crispy
7. When meat is done drain any excess liquid and add back in veggies. Continue to stir fry meat and veggies together an additional 2-3 mins.
8. Turning heat to low cover the meat and veggies with provolone slices
9. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the cheese is melted. Remove the lid and stir in the melted cheese. Enjoy!!
