How to make a chicken carbonara keto-friendly


Ingredients 



  • 1 bag Almondlovewith pasta (4gr Net Carbs)
  • 2 lb chicken breast
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 5 oz cooked bacon (crumbled)
  • 3 tbsp peas
  • Half yellow onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tbsp red pepper flakes
  • Onion salt & garlic powder
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Pinch of Parsley



Instructions:


  1. Boil water for about 10 mins and then add pasta to boiling water. Takes about 20 mins for the perfect texture.
  2. Cut chicken breast into 1-2” cubes and season with garlic powder, onion salt, and ground pepper.
  3. Heat avocado oil and butter in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook chicken until golden brown and set aside.
  5. Add onions and cook until translucent. Add garlic and cook for 1-2 mins.
  6. Add heavy cream and bring to a boil.
  7. Add in Parmesan cheese, peas, cooked chicken, bacon, and combine.
  8. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, and salt & pepper to taste.
  9. Garnish with parsley
