Easy Keto Almond Hazelnut Spread Croissants recipe you won't want to pass up. Almond Hazelnut Spread croissant is the perfect breakfast, snacks, or side dishes for lunch or dinner. ... Another great option we love is to make keto chocolate croissants

*optional but helps with texture
  • - Sprinkle of salt

  • - Choczero hazelnut spread, USE CODE: Ketobydesign to Save (for injecting and topping)
  • - Powdered sugar sub.
  • - Almond slivers

Preheat oven to 400°

Add mozzarella and cream cheese in a microwave-safe bowl. Melt them for 30-second increments in the microwave, until all melted, stirring in between.

When cheese mixture is melted add in all other ingredients (except the ones used for toppings)

Once the dough is formed roll between parchment paper until about 1/4 thick. You want to make sure the dough is in a rectangle that’s about 6x10

Freeze rolled dough for about 10 minutes / this makes it easier to work with. Once cold to the touch cut rectangle in half and then each side into elongate triangles - you should be able to get about 6 per side.

Roll into croissants shape - wide side into a short trip. If you want curved crescents cut a 1/2” slit into the top of the wide side Once rolled, give them an egg wash or thin coating of butter. Bake for 12 minutes on the center rack.

Let cool before injecting or adding toppings. Because this is keto dough and is set up differently I injected hazelnut spread rather than putting it in the dough before baking!

Top with powdered sugar sub, a drizzle of chocolate or spread, and some almond slivers!
