Mongolian beef is a Chinese-American dish consisting of sliced beef stir-fried with vegetables such as onions and green peppers, in a savory sauce made with ingredients like soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and brown sugar.
It is typically served over a bed of rice and garnished with green onions.
Despite its name, Mongolian beef is not a traditional Mongolian dish, but rather a popular dish in American Chinese cuisine.
